Our accessibility statement
We are committed to providing a digital service that is accessible to everybody, regardless of technology or ability. As part of this commitment, we are actively working to improve the usability and accessibility of our website and mobile app to ensure both meet current web standards and guidelines. To help us, we’ve partnered with the National Council for the Blind and National Federation of Voluntary Service Providers.
Accessing our digital channels
We use JavaScript to enhance accessibility of our website. To utilise 365 online fully, JavaScript must be enabled on your browser. If it is not enabled, you can still access the website, but with limited functionality.

We have tested the compatibility of our website with the following browser versions:

We have also tested the compatibility of the Bank of Ireland App with the latest iOS and Android smartphones.For customers using assistive technology, both our website and app are compatible with JAWS, Talkback on Android and Voiceover for iOS.
Usability
We have tried to create a simple, user-friendly design and navigation experience to allow users access information with ease.
Some of these efforts include:
- Grouping all of our products and services into categories that can be accessed via easy-to-use menus.
- Striving to keep the content and terminology simple. For example, hints and definitions are included throughout to help explain some of the more confusing financial terms.
- Using font and colour combinations that comply with accessibility standards. Font sizes can also be adjusted in the accessibility settings on your phone or in your browser under “View” from the menu bar.
Maintaining accessibility
We are committed to maintaining and monitoring the accessibility of this website. Our aim is to ensure that all new content published on this website is fully accessible, user-friendly and customer-focused. We are also working towards "Level AA" accessibility standards as set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in their Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
